Приветствую друзья. Сегодня вирусы попадают на компьютер банальным способом — их, не подозревая, устанавливают сами пользователи при установке полезного/нужного софта. Правда который был скачан с сомнительных источников, например — торренты. Установщик может быть в виде репака (repack) — модифицированный установщик, который также производит активацию ПО. Часто внутри подобных репаках — содержатся как опасные вирусы, так и рекламные модули.

VirTool: Win32/Obfuscator.xz — что это такое?

Угроза, использующая при работе методы скрытия собственного присутствия при помощи обусфакции (запутывание/перемешивание кода).

По поводу Obfuscator. Упоминание данного слова означает два варианта:

VirTool: Win32/Obfuscator.xz может обнаруживаться при установке игр, точнее — репаков, в которых игра уже активирована, работает без использования лицензии. Подобные репаки могут содержать вирусы — трояны, майнеры. Обычно скачиваются с торрент-порталов.

При установке игры антивирус MSE нашел вот такой вот вирус VirTool: Win32/Obfuscator.xz

Вопрос в том опасен ли он, стоит ли устанавливать такую игру и вовсе?

Так и не дождался ответа.

Ну что же, напишу пожалуй то, что мне удалось найти в сети.

VirTool: Win32/Obfuscator.xz вирусом как таковым не является, как пишут люди, это программа для запутывания кодов фаилов. По сути, антивирусы разпознают VirTool: Win32/Obfuscator.xz как вредоносную программу, поскольку она и вправду является хакерской, но предназначена для возможности взлома лицензионных продуктов без их покупки. Антивирусы попросту не могут по иному реагировать на файлы нарушающие авторские права. Чаще всего VirTool: Win32/Obfuscator.xz используют в современных играх, которые можно приобрести через Steam, для запуска копии игры на другом компьютере. Без VirTool: Win32/Obfuscator.xz не лицензионную игру Вам попросту не удалось бы запустить.

Люди пишут, что вреда VirTool: Win32/Obfuscator.xz не приносит.

Но это может и шутка.

А есть в самом деле навязчивые программы, которые самоустанавливаются на компьютер в процессе загрузки другого программного обеспечения. Например, Adobe подгружает вам McAffy. Удалить его иногда весьма сложно.

Такую утилиту, как adwcleaner, тоже можно использовать. Но осторожно: она находит много чего в реестре, а в него лезть может быть опасно.

И в дальнейшем, если ресурсы компьютера позволяют, желательно установить фаервол и антишпион Spyware Blaster, который предотвращает проникновению на компьютер программ-шпионов.

Но только не с DrWeb! Этот «доктор» другие антивирусы и антишпионы на дух не переносит, он должен быть установлен только один!
